The Choate Chili Peppers coed softball team brings together Choate’s summer associates with firm partners and associates for some friendly competition against other area firms.  Attorneys from across the firm don their Choate softball hats and tees and spend some quality time with our summer associates, taking Choate’s emphasis on teamwork from the office to the field.

Choate fielded a fast-paced team for “Rumble on the River,” an event supporting Community Rowing.  Community Rowing, an organization that strives to make rowing accessible for all, runs 30 outreach programs that range from Adaptive Rowing for athletes with physical and mental disabilities to an after-school rowing and academic program for girls in Boston Public Schools.

At the 2011 Lawyers Have Heart 5K, Choate made an impressive showing with a team of 30 runners, including summer associates, associates and partners.  The event was a huge success, raising over $175,000 for the American Heart Association.  Team Choate, which finished as one of the top five fastest overall firms, wore matching team t-shirts and sweatbands and joined together for group warm-ups as well as post-race celebrating.
